Objective of "HAWTEC"

In today's movements on the measures against hazardous substances, proper managements and disposals of " hazardous waste materials" that contain PCB, mercury, hazardous heavy metals, and asbestos as well as medical wastes are required further more, and the related laws and regulations are being reinforced. To mention one, in terms of PCB wastes, in order to accelerate the disposals of highly concentrated PCB wastes, the Amended Law Concerning the Special Measures Against PCB was issued in July 2016. Also against mercury wastes, based on the Minamata Convention on Mercury adopted in 2013, the criteria for collection and transportation, storage and final disposal were added and regulation has been reinforced.

As mentioned, in terms of the measures against hazardous wastes, the market is expanding as the laws and regulations are tightened, and more sound, safer disposals and new methods of business are on demand, and their expansions to the emerging countries and developing countries are also expected.
